About The Position

We are hiring a hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead Vehicle Operators, oversee autonomous vehicle testing, and support safe, efficient fleet operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, operational experience, and a commitment to safety and team performance.

This is a full-time contract role based in person in Houston, Texas. The available shifts are 6:45 AM–3:15 PM and 3:45 PM–12:15 AM. Schedules may run Tuesday–Saturday, Sunday–Thursday, or Friday–Tuesday.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of autonomous vehicle operator experience.
• An active AVT permit.
• Excellent driving history.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proven ability to improve operational efficiency and support team performance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 12 months of Zoox Vehicle Operations experience.
• At least 2 years of autonomous vehicle industry or operations experience.
• Previous experience as a team lead, instructor, or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support Vehicle Operators during daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and vehicle testing standards.
• Coordinate shift schedules, team assignments, and operational reporting.
• Provide performance feedback and resolve operational challenges.
• Support hardware and software testing for autonomous vehicles.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
