About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations within the Lamination Department during the 2nd shift. Key areas of focus include ensuring production safety through proper PPE usage, maintaining product quality and productivity by monitoring yield and pieces produced per shift, conducting job observations to assess associate skills and identify areas for improvement, and providing comprehensive training on equipment operation, quality standards, and process requirements. The supervisor will also handle emergency situations such as 4M changes, equipment breakdowns, and production problems, and conduct pre-shift meetings. Additional duties include overseeing the assembly of finished products, providing guidance and motivation to associates, maintaining a grid whiteboard, and performing glass auditing and Plex entry. The company reserves the right to assign or reassign duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded
  • Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions
  • Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  • Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software
  • FORKLIFT OPERATION (Certification Required)
  • Operates forklifts, as needed, to support Production
  • Background and policy of company, Processing of produce, safety requirement, and any necessary knowledge
  • Knowledge of 5S and how it applies to specific work area
  • Equipment and electric appliance's mechanical structures and operating principles

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
