Shift Supervisor
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor supports the CVS Store Management team in store execution and performance and helps build consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. When a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth store operations, and completes opening and closing procedures. The role includes supervising and communicating with store crews, resolving customer concerns while maintaining confidentiality, and supporting merchandise presentation through pricing, stocking, promotional displays, inventory, and department resets. The schedule is flexible and may include early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts, overtime, and responding to urgent store issues.
Requirements
- Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
- Advanced communication and supervision skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a retail supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with store management and store crews.
- Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
- Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
- Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
- Promote CVS customer service practices by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
- Handle customer relations issues according to company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
- Price merchandise and stock shelves.
- Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
- Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
- Reset departments following planograms (POGs).
- Lead store staff and ensure smooth operations when a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite.
- Ensure completion of opening and closing procedures.
