Shift Supervisor
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor supports the CVS Store Management team in store execution and performance and helps build consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. When a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, keeps store operations running smoothly, and ensures all opening and closing procedures are completed. The role includes supervising and coordinating crew activities, communicating with store management and crew, assisting customers, handling customer-relations issues in accordance with company policy, maintaining customer and patient confidentiality, and completing merchandise presentation tasks such as pricing, stocking, promotional displays, inventory, and department resets.
Requirements
- Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
- Advanced communication and supervision skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a retail supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with store management and store crews.
- Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
- Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
- Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
- Promote the CVS customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
- Handle customer-relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
- Price merchandise and stock shelves.
- Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
- Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
- Reset departments following planograms (POGs).
- Lead store staff and ensure smooth store operations when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite.
- Ensure completion of all opening and closing procedures.
