Requirements
- BS in pulp and paper, engineering, or equivalent work experience in the pulp and paper industry.
- Two years of applicable work experience in paper mill operations is required.
- Solid paper mill manufacturing/production/maintenance background with the ability to learn new concepts and information is required.
- Organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
- Written and oral communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- The Shift Manager will be the management representative on shift to assure safe operations, environmental compliance, quality assurance, cost control and productivity in all areas of the Paper Mill.
- The position will provide management insight, leadership and guidance in compliance with initiatives, policies and procedures and ensure effective and consistent communications across all shifts.
- The Shift Manager will be a resource to department managers and team and crew leaders.
- The Shift Manager will provide leadership/performance management coaching and will provide feedback to department superintendent/manager on overall performance.
- This position is an extension of department management and is a key contributor to department initiatives, projects, and mill-wide incentives.
- The Shift Manager will bring management attention and focus on nights and weekends.
