Shift Supervisor (Transportation) (Full Time)
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for a full time SHIFT SUPERVISOR (TRANSPORTATION) position. This role involves directing the activities of associates during a specific shift, overseeing the completion of assigned job expectations, and ensuring policy and procedure is maintained. The position requires operational leadership, including monitoring workflow, adjusting employee assignments, and providing real-time problem-solving. The Shift Supervisor will also assist and oversee the transportation department when the Transportation Manager is scheduled off and may fill in as a driver when needed. Associates will work in a temperature-controlled environment with exposure to cold conditions for extended periods.
Requirements
- Previous technical or supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have 1 year of driving a box truck.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily work activities of assigned staff to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Monitor workflow and adjust employee assignments to meet operational demands.
- Provide real-time problem solving and escalate issues to the Manager when higher‑level intervention is required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Assist and oversee the transportation department when the Transportation Manager is scheduled off.
- Fill in as driver when needed for coverage or support.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate the performance of workers, reward high performers and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
- Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
