About The Position

The general function of this position is to operate the chemical processes within the assigned area in the base plant in a safe and efficient manner to produce a high-quality product. This role is responsible for ensuring plant operations are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies. This position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. The starting hourly pay for this full-time role is $31.78.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a Gold or above on the ACT Work Keys Assessment

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • Manufacturing Basic Skills Certification preferred
  • Forklift operating experience preferred
  • Front end loading experience preferred
  • Internal candidates must have a MX or above on most recent evaluation and no active corrective action documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work 12-hour rotating shifts to include nights and weekends
  • Work overtime coverage as required based on plant and shift needs
  • Operate and monitor packaging, repacking, material handling equipment, including bagging systems, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and bulk loading systems, to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Safely perform start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and routine inspections of equipment, while maintaining product quality and adhering to grade change and process requirement
  • Handle materials and finished products, including storage, inspection, off-spec management, and shipment preparation, in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Complete required training and maintain ongoing certifications and refresher requirements
  • Read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams to ensure safe and effective operations.
  • Understand the process flow, production requirements, and operating limits for the area assigned.
  • Perform general housekeeping including sweeping and shoveling
  • Forklift operations
  • Perform routine inspections and operate track mobile equipment and track switches
  • Write notifications and complete work orders in SAP
  • Data entry and tracking using Khronos MES
  • Work in environments where hazardous chemicals (e.g., chlorine, aluminum chloride) are present, requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE
  • Offload hazardous chemicals
  • Communicate effectively to exchange information and ensure accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness in work
