About The Position

Performs a variety of tasks requiring various skill sets to maintain, modify, repair, and fabricate buildings, machines, parts, and components throughout the plant and property. This role has a primary focus on the greige plant, with an emphasis on carding equipment and related components, to ensure continuous shift operation.

Requirements

• Self-motivation
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Good visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Available as needed including weekends and holidays, with transportation
• Ability to utilize prints and drawings, make measurements, and use hand and power tools
• Mechanical equipment aptitude and experience and repair knowledge

Nice To Haves

• Preferred prior job experience as carding PM mechanic, PM mechanic, and/or card operator

Responsibilities

• Remains vigilant for potential problems or issues with buildings, machines, parts, and/or components.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and/or fixes machines, parts, and/or components, especially greige plant related components, with emphasis in carding.
• Cuts, welds, grinds, prepares, paints, fabricates, builds, and/or rigs machines, parts, and/or components, especially Greige plant related components, with emphasis in carding.
• Utilizes motorized trucks and/or material handling equipment to help perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Oftentimes functions independently, and takes direction and guidance from other employees in skills and duties as assigned.
