About The Position

Directs the Shift Operations of the warehouse with particular emphasis on managing warehouse associates and implementing warehouse action plans. Handles all inbound, outbound, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in leadership and supervisory roles; organization and planning.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and user of warehouse management system technology.
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office and software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all 2nd shift warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate workflow throughout the Stamping Warehouse
  • Supervise, coach, and develop shift associates, promoting teamwork, accountability, and high performance
  • Oversee safe operation of all Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), including forklifts, tuggers, and tow motors
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, with heightened attention to sharp welded parts and high‑risk equipment
  • Maintain staffing levels, create shift schedules, and manage daily labor allocation to meet production and delivery demands
  • Ensure timely and accurate material flow to support Honda Manufacturing of Alabama’s production schedule
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and coordinate with logistics teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain proper stock levels
  • Conduct shift‑start meetings, communicate expectations, and ensure associates understand daily priorities
  • Track, analyze, and report shift performance metrics, including safety, productivity, quality, and attendance
  • Address performance issues promptly and professionally, following company policies and documentation standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational gaps and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with other shift managers and leadership to ensure consistent processes and smooth handoffs between shifts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards
