About The Position

The Shift Manager collaborates with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations during assigned shifts and ensure customers receive exceptional service. The role leads by example, fosters a positive and productive work environment, and trains and develops team members while supporting the manager’s own professional growth. The Shift Manager supervises store operations and supports scheduling, opening and closing, inventory monitoring, ordering, receiving, and other operational procedures. The position also performs cashier and cook duties as needed, maintains company health and safety standards, handles customer inquiries and issues, and operates and maintains company equipment. The role is based at the Keaau Minit Stop location and pays $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Meet Hawaii’s legal requirements for obtaining credentials to sell liquor and tobacco products.
Acquire a Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance and Safe Food Handler’s Certification upon hire.
Acquire a Class C Underground Storage Tank (UST) Certification and Liquor Cards for any county where Minit Stop operates within 60 days of hire.
Demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Have excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Follow company policies, delegate directions, and understand and comply with local, state, and federal laws concerning alcohol and tobacco sales and food handling.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation, and stand for prolonged periods throughout the day.
Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality, including availability for shifts throughout store operating hours.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education experience preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily store operations and ensure the store meets Minit Stop’s image and standards and aligns with company Core Values and Practices.
Lead training for newly hired team members, guide them in their roles, provide performance feedback, and conduct additional training as needed.
Support scheduling, opening and closing duties, inventory monitoring, ordering, receiving, and other operational procedures.
Be able to perform Cashier and Cook duties to meet operational needs.
Ensure compliance with company health and safety standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws, including food handling, PPE use, and sanitation practices.
Provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues.
Operate and maintain company equipment and promptly report workplace hazards, injuries, and incidents.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
