About The Position

The Shift Leader assists the Assistant Manager and General Manager with management activities and duties, ensuring all activities are consistent with and support the restaurant’s business plan. The Shift Leader ensures all Team Members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job description. The role involves overseeing restaurant operations during a shift, maintaining hospitality, quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and security standards, and supporting sales and profit goals.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.
Must have reliable transportation and a method of communication with the restaurant, such as phone or email.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure hospitality service is outstanding by anticipating and exceeding guest needs and handling situations and requests promptly and positively.
Monitor all aspects of restaurant operations, anticipate problems, and take initiative to correct problem areas immediately.
Enforce and maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
Monitor and maintain proper staffing levels and labor costs.
Create a friendly atmosphere for Team Members and Guests.
Train, direct, and supervise Team Members effectively.
Support efforts to maximize sales and profits and minimize controllable costs.
Plan, organize, and implement operational routines and activities during the shift.
Maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with management and fellow team members.
Ensure sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures are observed and enforced.
Maintain a professional appearance that meets company standards.
Follow HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe and compliant environment.
Perform other tasks as directed by management.
