About The Position

PepperJax Grill is hiring a Shift Manager to support its growing restaurant brand. Shift Managers prepare and serve high-quality meals, provide quick, accurate, and friendly customer service, and help create a welcoming restaurant atmosphere. The role includes shift-management and leadership duties, as well as hands-on restaurant work such as greeting customers, taking orders, grilling food, assembling meals, processing payments, and cleaning. Candidates should have an awesome attitude, a genuine personality, a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a willingness to learn. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Prior leadership and kitchen experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to bend, twist, kneel, climb, stoop, reach, and grasp objects above or below waist level.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate in the location's primary language.
• Fundamental math skills.
• Must pass required background and motor vehicle checks.
• Must have adequate transportation.
• Skilled at multitasking and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work a variety of shifts.
• Must be flexible, humble, and willing to learn.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Show customers care through quick, accurate, and friendly service.
• Work with team members and assist with tasks and assignments to provide cohesive service.
• Perform shift-manager duties and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Greet customers, take orders, grill food, assemble meals, and process payments efficiently and accurately.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling or preparing food.
• Clean the dining room, kitchen, areas in front of and behind the counter, restrooms, and entry and exit locations.
• Show up on time for scheduled shifts.
• Comply with company policies.
• Take initiative and exemplify PepperJax Grill's culture through a positive attitude, genuine personality, and strong work ethic.

• Competitive compensation of $13.50 to $15.50 per hour, with an expected hourly rate of $18 to $20 including tips.
