The Shift Manager Facilities is responsible for ensuring all work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other assigned areas are completed properly and timely to meet safety and service standards during their assigned shift. This role promotes and enforces safety practices, oversees recruitment, hiring, training, and personnel matters within the department, and ensures performance reviews are completed annually. The Shift Manager is also responsible for the security of all issued keys, responding to emergencies, maintaining the quality of products delivered to guests, and assisting in training and supervising staff. They are expected to implement new or improved best practices, maintain knowledge of all property facilities, schedule department staff, enforce attendance policies, and ensure all work is performed with care to prevent damage. The role requires demonstrating dedication to guests, vendors, and colleagues, understanding the impact of actions on the company, and presenting new ideas. A strong understanding of the marketplace and guest-focused decision-making is essential. The position requires advanced knowledge of field concepts, principles, practices, and procedures, significant experience with financial metrics, and strong supervisory and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with building systems like HVAC, Plumbing, and Kitchen Mechanics, is necessary.
