About The Position

The Shift Leader is fully accountable for the profitable operation of an assigned shift while following company guidelines and regulations. The role supports the General Manager in coordinating and implementing operational plans and company initiatives, and provides leadership to the restaurant team to meet standards for guest service, food quality, and cleanliness. The Shift Leader helps maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations and Firehouse Subs policies and procedures, and represents the brand professionally.

Requirements

Able to work on their feet for up to 13 hours at a time.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate the assigned shift profitably within established guidelines for food costs, labor, controllable expenses, utilities, and sales growth.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, wage and hour, age restriction, fair employment, and ADA requirements.
Know, follow, and enforce Firehouse Subs policies and procedures.
Lead the restaurant team in meeting standards for guest service, quality, and cleanliness while embracing the company culture, mission, and vision.
Assist the General Manager in coordinating and implementing current operations plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.
Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining employees under the General Manager’s guidance.
Ensure required programs, reports, and legal documents are accurate, complete, and completed on schedule.
Participate in Public Safety Foundation initiatives.
Represent Firehouse Subs professionally and positively.
Communicate to the General Manager or Owner any issues that may affect the business.
Perform other duties assigned by the General Manager or Owner.
