About The Position

Bruegger's Bagels has been kettle cooking bagels and serving tradition for over 35 years, committed to genuine New York-style bagels and real, made-in-Vermont cream cheese. The company prioritizes work-life balance, with stores closing at 2 PM, ensuring no evening or night shifts. They are seeking a Shift Leader to collaborate directly with the General Manager, motivating the team to deliver an excellent guest experience. Shift Leaders are empowered to set the team's morale and tone, provide feedback and coaching, and manage store opening and closing with minimal supervision. They are also responsible for ensuring the quality of food and beverages and maintaining a safe and clean store environment. This role offers significant career growth opportunities, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience
• Take charge and set the morale and tone of the team
• Provide feedback and coach team members when needed
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision
• Ensure the quality of the food and beverages served
• Keep a safe and clean store environment
