About The Position

At Einstein Bros. Bagels, we believe in the bagel and have been baking them fresh daily since 1995. Our bakeries aim to spread joy and happiness, fostering a positive environment where people can laugh, smile, and enjoy each other's company, especially with a bagel. We are committed to work-life balance for our team, with stores closing at 2 PM, ensuring no evening or night shifts. We are seeking a Shift Leader, a role crucial for adding flavor and cohesion to our team, much like cream cheese to a bagel. Shift Leaders collaborate directly with the General Manager to motivate the team, deliver excellent guest experiences, and set the morale and tone. They are empowered to take charge, provide feedback, coach team members, and are responsible for opening and closing the store with minimal supervision. The role also involves ensuring food and beverage quality and maintaining a safe and clean store environment. This position offers significant career growth opportunities, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience
