Shift Leader Trainees are hired and trained to move into the role of Shift Leader, typically within 90 days. Shift Leader Trainees should increase store wine and spirits sales by providing a high level of personalized service with Guests and Team Members, and performing the following duties. Responsibilities include serving as Manager on Duty in training, opening and closing the store, and assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing store operations. The role involves greeting each Guest upon entry and providing prompt, friendly, and engaging service, operating a Point-of-Sale terminal to process Guest transactions, and staying current on required training, company policies, and product knowledge. Trainees will also train, coach, and direct other sales associates when acting as Manager on Duty in training, maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, assist with daily property upkeep, provide wrapping service for ABC products, assemble custom gift baskets, offer carryout service, unload and put away weekly truck deliveries, and merchandise and display product on store shelves and in beer coolers. Other tasks/projects may be assigned by store management.
