About The Position

Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a full-time Shift Lead for its Groton, CT location. Stonington Institute provides substance abuse treatment, including medical detox and residential addictions treatment. The Groton clinic offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. The facility is conveniently located near The Inn at Trails Corner, a sober living community for clients attending outpatient programs. UHS is a Fortune 500 company recognized for its commitment to healthcare services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • CT Recovery Coach certification required.
  • Previous experience in the field of mental health/substance abuse required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Orients, trains, and coaches new hires.
  • Supervises residential staff on shift.
  • Responds to resident issues related to housing in consultation with the Program Director/Program Manager.
  • Communicates resident behavior at Trails Corner with clinicians and case managers.
  • Intervenes effectively with residents at risk of leaving the program against clinical advice.
  • De-escalates upset residents.
  • Assures compliance with program rules, facility policy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes daily bed count and updates bedboard.
