About The Position

As a Shift Lead at Dutch Bros Coffee, you will be responsible for upholding the company's vision, culture, and core values during every shift. Shift Leads are expected to be servant leaders, communicating feedback to leadership and handling essential tasks to allow the crew to focus on core values. This role is crucial in maintaining the Dutch Bros atmosphere and ensuring a mind-blowing experience for every customer.

Requirements

  • 6 months of Broista experience at Dutch Bros preferred
  • No disciplinary action for the past 90 days, required
  • Successfully completed the most recent flowcheck (90% score or better) and on time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit/Certification as required by state/local regulations
  • Ability to complete, pass and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under Dutch Bros required standards for company policies and federal, state, and/or local regulations
  • Demonstrate all Broista Levels of Leadership expectations (anchors and level-up arrows).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the experience for every Broista on shift, ensuring a mind-blowing experience for every customer.
  • Cultivate the Dutch Bros atmosphere and standards on shift, ensuring Broistas meet all expectations and helping to solve problems.
  • Manage the shift, ensuring Broistas are prepared for specials or promotions with the right energy and attitude.
  • Act as an expert on drink and operational fundamentals to execute Broista training.
  • Model and meet all expectations of the Broista role.
  • Train new Broistas operationally and culturally, fostering a fun-loving, mind-blowing environment.
  • Set Broistas up for success by covering all aspects of the Manifesto during training.
  • Assist the Shop Manager and Shop Lead in shop inventory management, support, and other delegated duties.
  • Set up the next shift for success by counting tills, making bank deposits, restocking products, putting inventory away, and meeting cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate with your manager and share wins and opportunities for improvement with shop leaders.
  • Be a good role model, attend mandatory meetings, know your resources, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Aid the Shop Manager and Shop Leads in inventory.
  • Ensure shop setup and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Follow up with Quality Assurance inspections and accountability processes.
  • Communicate appropriate information up to leaders and communicate expectations to the crew while on shift.
  • Be present for shift lead shifts, shop meetings, and culture-building events.
