About The Position

The Shift Lead position provides oversight and supervision to Recovery Support Specialists, oversight of clients in a residential setting, and oversight of facility conditions to ensure high-quality services are rendered to the client population served. The Shift Lead reports directly to the Site Supervisor and plays an integral role in carrying out the mission of The Counseling Center, Inc. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the assigned site, planning, organizing, and directing services related to the program. The Shift Lead ensures proper coverage and continuity of operations, provides direct line supervision of staff, and maximizes staff utilization by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards, and conducting performance reviews. Additionally, the Shift Lead maintains quality control measures, monitors work quality for compliance with standards, and identifies the need for professional development of staff. Secondary functions include providing direct services as necessary, covering duties of absent employees to ensure continuity of care, and performing any other duties assigned by the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Must have experience as Recovery Support Specialist.
  • Must be available to cover 1st and 2nd shift hours and be available by telephone any hours as needed.
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid training.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred supervisor experience.
  • Experience working with chemically dependent people and their families preferred.
  • Knowledge of alcoholism and other addictions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper coverage of program and continuity of operation.
  • Provides direct line supervision of the staff.
  • Obtains maximum utilization of staff by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards and conducting performance reviews of subordinates.
  • Maintains quality control measures and monitors work quality for compliance with standards.
  • Monitors the need for professional development of staff.
  • Provides direct services as necessary.
  • Covers duties of any absent employee; schedules replacement or personally performs duties in order to ensure continuity of care.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
