About The Position

Shift Leads provide customers with Lidl’s shopping experience and take part in all areas of store operations, including stocking, cleaning, bakery operations, and non-food merchandising. The role involves working at a fast pace, adapting to changing priorities, communicating openly, and contributing to a team focused on providing high-quality, low-price, hassle-free shopping. As the store’s responsible person, the Shift Lead runs assigned shifts when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The position also includes unloading deliveries, helping customers throughout the store, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and learning tasks in the bakery, produce area, and weekly promotional setup.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older.
Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide products weighing over 50 pounds.
Ability to reach above the head to heights greater than 10 inches.
Flexibility to start an early shift at 5 a.m. or finish a late shift at 11 p.m., including weekends.
Positive attitude when priorities change.
Friendly communication style with team members and customers.
Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Run assigned shifts as the store responsible person when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Unpack stock as deliveries arrive and maintain a quick pace.
Provide customer service at registers and throughout the store, including answering questions and helping customers locate items.
Keep the parking lot, sales floor, breakroom, and warehouse clean and organized throughout the shift.
Learn and complete tasks in the bakery, produce area, and weekly promotional setup.
Communicate clearly with management and colleagues and work as a team player to complete tasks.
