The Shift Lead role involves performing the duties of a Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant, and when not performing those duties, assisting the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize the productivity and profitability of the hospital. This position collaborates with the Practice Manager and/or Chief of Staff (COS) to ensure effective communication with all clients, internal stakeholders, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will assist and support hospital leadership in developing an efficient, productive team that provides the highest quality care and service. They will follow Banfield protocols and practices, focusing the team on achieving practice priorities while building culture and brand. This role includes day-to-day supervision of the team when called upon, ensuring quality medical care, exceptional client service, associate engagement, and maximum productivity. The Shift Lead helps create an environment where the team can deliver quality, efficient, and effective veterinary care, fostering an environment that engages associates to do their best. They will provide professional, efficient, and exceptional client service, leading by example and ensuring all associates do the same. This includes client education about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, hospital services, marketing campaigns, and effectively resolving client issues. The Shift Lead will assist in effectively scheduling associates to meet client needs, while proactively planning time off and CE scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all practice policies and procedures, including Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.
