About The Position

Shift Leads are one of the most influential team members within Costa Vida. Organizing shift schedules for team members, assigning duties to specific team members based on role and skills, and training new and current team members on the task are key responsibilities. Shift Leads also respond to guests and come up with creative solutions, adhere to company policies and health, safety, and employment standards, balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits, and are responsible for opening/closing the restaurant. Proficiency in other positions within the restaurant is also expected.

Requirements

• Food Handler permit
• ServSafe Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Proven experience as a supervisor, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
