The Shift Lead is responsible for leading by example, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining Sbarro's standards for food quality and cleanliness. This role involves supervising and directing the team during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, and that the restaurant operates smoothly. The Shift Lead will assign tasks, provide guidance and support, monitor employee performance, and maintain a positive, high-energy atmosphere. Key duties also include ensuring customer orders are prepared correctly, handling customer complaints, overseeing the dining area, ensuring food is prepared to quality and safety standards, monitoring inventory, operating cash registers, processing transactions accurately, and assisting with opening and closing procedures. The role also involves training new and current team members, ensuring compliance with regulations, and helping manage labor and food costs.
