About The Position

LV Petroleum, a FASTEST growing travel center company, is seeking a driven, hands-on Assistant General Manager to lead a high-energy Sbarro's restaurant. This role involves delivering great guest experiences and ensuring smooth operations from open to close. You will partner with the General Manager to support daily operations, ensure food quality, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will also lead, train, and develop team members, support recruiting and retention, delegate tasks, manage workflows, and provide feedback. Ensuring positive guest experiences through high service standards, professional issue resolution, and leading by example is key. Additionally, you will support financial performance by managing inventory, costs, scheduling, payroll, and aligning operations with sales and budget goals. Local marketing efforts and community engagement are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of leadership experience in restaurant or food service.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of cost control, scheduling, and daily operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the General Manager to support daily restaurant operations.
  • Ensure food quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
  • Help lead, train, and develop team members.
  • Support recruiting and retention of top talent.
  • Delegate tasks, manage workflows, and provide ongoing feedback to build a strong and motivated team.
  • Ensure every guest has a positive experience by maintaining high standards of service, resolving concerns professionally, and leading by example.
