The Shift Lead will train on the 1st shift (Mon - Thur 6 AM - 4:30 PM), then will move to the 2nd shift (4:45pm to 3:15am Mon-Thurs. Benefits start day one! Understand all facets of work in the cell (basic disassembly, wash, rebuild, and testing of freight and locomotive valves, brake pistons and test devices. Proper use of power and manual tools, operations of semi-automatic equipment, lapping, washes. Must oversee OTJ training for all new cell employees. Instruct cell employees on work instruction, proper use of all tools and equipment. Maintain a 5S environment in the cell at all times and immediately address any and all safety issues. Conduct standup meetings, issue instructions for daily goals and shift personnel. Work closely with Production Supervisor and Production Manager to ensure rates and goals are met, issues reported and resolved. Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations. Must understand, support, and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures, and instructions. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
