About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Shift Electrician to perform comprehensive electrical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on complex plant equipment. This role involves inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency, responding promptly to equipment breakdowns, and collaborating with the maintenance team on continuous improvement initiatives. The Shift Electrician will also maintain precise records of work performed, system modifications, and parts inventory.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Red Seal Industrial Electrician certificate.
  • Deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, controls, and medium-voltage safety standards.
  • Expert ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.
  • Highly skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the Cement Industry or heavy industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive electrical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on complex plant equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure maximum safety and operational efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and restore operations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain precise records of work performed, system modifications, and parts inventory.
