The Shelver position at Howard County Library System (HCLS) is responsible for accurately shelving returned items such as books, DVDs, and CDs, and maintaining an orderly appearance of shelves. This role also involves performing shelf reading and carrying out other assigned duties and special projects. The position requires maintaining regular and predictable attendance and adhering to all policies and procedures. Additionally, the Shelver contributes to HCLS's mission of being a place to learn, grow, and connect, and actively supports the system's racial and social equity goals and strategic values of community, equity, intellectual freedom, learning, and teamwork.
