The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by love for God. Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The shelter worker is responsible for the safety and security of the residents and volunteers who are in our facilities including congregate settings and non-congregate settings. Treating all those receiving services with dignity, respect, and understanding, the shelter worker implements the rules of the program fairly and equitably. Any special or unusual concern is to be brought to the immediate attention of the supervisor.
