Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to make a difference in Ottawa, IL and become their newest Shelter Insurance Agent. This role is ideal for individuals with a desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving their community. It offers the opportunity to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business without extreme start-up costs. Shelter does not require previous insurance industry background, with agents coming from diverse fields such as real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. A motivated attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills in a sales atmosphere are required. While sales experience and a business degree are helpful, comprehensive training is provided. Shelter does not require prospective agents to have capital on hand, nor do they sell or loan money to agents. The primary expectations are meeting sales requirements and core business proficiencies.
