About The Position

Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become a Shelter Insurance Agent in O'Fallon, MO. This role is ideal for individuals who desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving their community. It offers the opportunity to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business with manageable start-up costs. Shelter does not require previous insurance industry experience; backgrounds in real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching are common among successful agents. A motivated attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills are required. While sales experience and a business degree are helpful, Shelter provides comprehensive new agent training, both in-house and virtual, along with continuing education opportunities. No capital or assets are required to be considered for an agency, and agencies are not sold or loaned money by Shelter. The primary focus will be developing prospects and selling Shelter products, with potential opportunities to hire staff for administrative and sales support.
