About The Position
Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to make a difference in Joplin, MO and become their newest Shelter Insurance Agent. This role is ideal for individuals with a desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving their community. It offers the opportunity to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business without extreme start-up costs. Shelter does not require previous insurance industry background, with agents coming from diverse fields such as real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. A motivated attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills in a sales atmosphere are required. While sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, Shelter provides comprehensive in-house and virtual training, along with continuing education. No capital or assets are required to be considered, and agencies are not sold or loaned money by Shelter. The primary expectations are meeting sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. Financial responsibilities are limited to unsatisfied bills upon departure. A business owner's mindset is crucial for success, with the potential to hire staff for administrative duties and sales support.
