About The Position
This position is for a power jack operator on the 1st shift. The role requires availability for overtime and weekends, and the ability to work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees Fahrenheit. The jobs are fast-paced and involve repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40+ lbs, while Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. The role involves constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks will be provided and is required for qualification within Tyson Foods, Inc.
Requirements
- 3-Months of operator experience (can be a combination of employers).
- Ability to label, organize, and align pallets in a cooler.
- Willingness to become certified in pallet jack and forklift operation.
- Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with Tyson Foods (note: there is a 180-day waiting period for rehire, and applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire).
