Doncasters is seeking a Shell Operator to join their team in Newberry, SC. This role is crucial in the manufacturing of specialist superalloys and high-performance alloy components for demanding industries such as aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbines, automotive, and medical. Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Company.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Some manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare wax moulds to be coated for the boiler clave process and casting.
Set up for production daily.
Run pre-coat on all racks.
Apply back up coats to all racks following SOP’S and IT’S until all coats and racks are finished.
Perform end of the shift clean-up daily.
Pull racks from wax room.
Position full white precoat bucket under spinner.
Fill fluidized bed to the bottom of slope with sand.
Remove assembly from wax rack and inspect for defects and bad seals.
Apply Pre-coat to assemblies.
Apply Mulgrain sand to assemblies.
Place assemblies on carousel.
Remove assemblies from carousel and inspect.
Fill or top off tubs on carousel.
Fill sand beds.
Turn and replace racks as needed.
Conduct housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space.
Observe and comply with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
Aid supervisor in identifying training needs.
Attend and participate in all scheduled training and educational programs.
Understand, support, and participate in the company's Quality Plan, including quality objectives and quality commitment.
