Requirements

Requires a minimum of one (1) year of sheetmetal experience or related craft experience in joiner, shipfitting, and/or carpentry.
The ability to fabricate, install, repair, and assemble sheetmetal components
The skills to construct and install ventilation systems, ductwork, and shipboard structures
Ability to work safely and effectively in complex shipyard environments
Strong commitment to accuracy, craftsmanship, and teamwork

Nice To Haves

Prefer candidates with the ability to set up and operate a variety of sheetmetal machines such as brakes and shears, pass a skill assessment test, ability to read marine blueprints, and work from standard and metric specifications.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, form, cut, and install sheetmetal for ventilation systems, structural components, and shipboard assemblies.
Work from drawings, plans, templates, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
Assemble and install ductwork, bulkheads, hangers, foundations, and related systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, shears, brakes, punches, and forming equipment.
Support ship construction across diverse shipyard environments and be available to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
