About The Position

This role is responsible for operating a sheeter machine to produce printed materials. The operator will ensure job completion details are accurately entered into the OMS visual system, plan jobs ahead to ensure material readiness, and examine job orders to determine specifications. The position involves monitoring feeding and printing operations, communicating with the feeder operator, cleaning ink fountains, lubricating the press, and managing color quality. A key aspect is preparing the press for the next shift to ensure a running press at shift change. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Enter job completion details accurately into our OMS visual system.
Plan several jobs ahead to ensure job materials are ready.
Examine job orders to determine quantities for printing, stock specifications, color or special printing instructions.
Fill out all proper documentation relating to job requirements (e.g., load tags, orders, data analysis, coating documentations).
Monitor feeding and printing operations to maintain specified operating level and to detect malfunctions.
Relay responsibilities to the feeder operator and communicate daily tasks.
Clean up ink fountains during job change over process and perform line clearance protocols from previous job.
Grease and lubricate press to manufacturing specs, and per the company’s planned maintenance program.
Manage color on the printing press, adhering to quality and procedures.
Prepare the press for the next shift, aiming for a running press at shift change.
