About The Position

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Sheeter Operator for its food service folding carton manufacturing operation in Chicago, Illinois. The role is responsible for daily operation of sheeting equipment in accordance with current control plan specifications and matrix requirements. The listed pay range is $27.46–$31.47 per hour, plus shift differential and progressive pay increases. The company provides on-the-job training and opportunities for career progression through its promotion-from-within program.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain fork truck certification.

Responsibilities

Enter rolls into RFGEN and SAP and reconcile all sheeted material to maintain proper inventory control.
Maintain production goals for the department and assigned machine.
Perform quality checks for proper size, job number, customer name, stock type, and caliper.
Complete machine make-readies, changeovers, and back-side printing.
Meet control plan specification requirements, including caliper, de-curl, square sheets, and checkering.
Perform housekeeping and maintenance tasks, including work orders and belt replacement.
Follow plant rules and processes, including hygiene and allergen procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods.
Report potentially unsafe food conditions or SQF noncompliance to an authorized person.
Participate in SQF root-cause and corrective-action activities as required.
