About The Position

MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Assistant Sheeter Operator who assists in the setup, operation, and monitoring of sheeting equipment to produce high-quality sheets that meet customer specifications. This position is responsible for material handling, machine support, quality inspections, housekeeping, and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand work orders, production schedules, and measuring devices.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement conversion.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and production runs according to work orders and specifications.
Load rolls of paperboard, paper, or other packaging materials onto the sheeter.
Support the Sheeter Operator in monitoring machine performance and production output.
Inspect finished sheets for size, squareness, quality, and appearance.
Remove defective materials and notify the operator of quality concerns.
Label and stage finished pallets for shipment or further processing.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance activities.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as authorized.
Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and safety initiatives.
Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and coworkers.
May occasionally fill in for the First Operator to cover breaks, lunches, vacation, or sick leave.
Perform other duties as assigned.
