About The Position

Oliver Inc. is seeking an experienced Sheeter Operator to join their production team. This role is responsible for converting paper rolls into press-ready sheets, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Sheeter Operator experience in a commercial printing, paper converting, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of paper grades, sheeting processes, and production workflows.
  • Experience operating industrial sheeting equipment.
  • Forklift and clamp truck operating experience required.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to enter production and inventory information into manufacturing systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read production orders, work instructions, safety procedures, and operating manuals.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with production and warehouse teams.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (approximately 75% of the shift).
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ERP or manufacturing software (Solar Soft experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Operate sheeting equipment to convert paper rolls into sheets according to production specifications.
  • Prioritize sheeting jobs based on the daily production schedule.
  • Inspect paper rolls for defects or damage before production.
  • Set up and adjust the sheeter, including slitters, anvils, belts, and joggers, to meet job requirements.
  • Verify sheet size, squareness, and quality throughout production runs.
  • Maximize efficiency by combining sheeting jobs whenever possible and utilizing existing sheeted inventory.
  • Monitor raw material inventory and communicate low stock levels to Purchasing.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the sheeter, including replacing blades and slitters as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and production records using computer systems.
  • Print and apply inventory labels to finished skids.
  • Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, stretch wrappers, banding equipment, and scanners.
  • Assist with training team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
