About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Welder to join our team in Walker, MI. This is a hands-on role focused on high-quality welding in a precision job shop environment. Requirements

• Proficient in both MIG and TIG welding
• Ability to work with cold rolled steel, stainless steel, and galvanized materials
• Prior experience in a metal fabrication shop
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Nice To Haves

• Strong experience with thin sheet metal fabrication (job shop environment preferred over heavy structural welding)
• Robot welding experience is a significant plus

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal
• Work primarily with cold rolled steel and stainless steel, with occasional galvanized material
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Weld components in a job shop setting with emphasis on precision and appearance
• Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform quality checks on finished welds
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
