About The Position
The MIG/TIG Welder Level II is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel. This role involves performing MIG and TIG welds in various positions, examining welds for quality, repairing parts, and assembling components. The position also requires performing necessary maintenance on welding equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to pass weld test
- At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
- Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
Nice To Haves
- At least 3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
- At least 3 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
- Forklift certification
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
- Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
- Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
- Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.
