Requirements
- 1-4 years of sheet metal, shop assembly experience.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues.
- Good attitude and a willingness to learn a new trade or skill.
Responsibilities
- Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
- Measure, mark dimensions, and lay out materials to be installed using tools such as scribes, micrometers, Vernier, and calipers.
- Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of assembled parts to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
- Fasten details on aircraft and industrial engine components using rivets, fasteners, bolts, etc.
- Cross-train to support all areas of Sheet Metal Assembly.
