About The Position

Overseeing and coordinating the activities and resources within a specific unit or department within an organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-accountability supervisory role, military leadership, or law enforcement; OR a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing management, or a related technical discipline with at least 1 year of hands-on industrial or supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience in operations management or related roles is beneficial; experience in administrative roles where organizational and coordination skills are utilized is valuable

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations within the unit, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support operational activities and projects
  • Ensure resources are utilized effectively and in alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members within the unit, as well as with other departments or external stakeholders
  • Organize and manage documentation such as schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials
  • Support the training and development of unit staff by providing guidance, resources, and assistance as needed
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies within the unit
  • Collaborate with other units or departments to meet customer needs and deliver quality services
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of projects or initiatives within the unit, working closely with project managers and team members to achieve objectives
  • Collect and analyze data related to unit operations, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or efficiency gains within the unit
