About The Position

As a Sheet Metal Repair Laborer, you will assist Roofers and Foremen to prepare job sites and install roofing systems including metal, aluminum, wood, and related materials. You will also operate hand and power tools of all types. Requirements

• General construction experience required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Willingness to learn new roofing systems, techniques, and equipment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing jobsite conditions and priorities.

Nice To Haves

• High School/GED preferred but not required.
• Sheet metal experience preferred.
• Soldering experience with copper/brass/stainless/mild steel/aluminum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Remove debris from roofs and surrounding work areas.
• Assist with installing insulation, vapor barriers, and roofing materials.
• Assist with installing and repairing roofing systems using materials such as metal, shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, and single-ply systems.
• Apply adhesives, sealants, caulking, and roofing cement as needed.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, vehicles, and other job-related equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and identify potential hazards.
• Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
