About The Position

The Sheetmetal and Insulation Tradesman II is a developmental role designed for individuals seeking to gain practical experience and technical skills in HVAC. As a Tradesman, you will work under the supervision of experienced field professionals to learn the technical aspects of the job, including equipment operation, tool and material identification, and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience/education in HVAC, Construction or other technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train Helpers and Apprentices.
  • Read prints, have knowledge of how HVAC systems operate.
  • Communicate with Foreman on productions, any issues, and needed material.
  • Complete a quality job in a safe and timely manner.
  • Keep areas picked up daily.
  • Material kept covered and protected.
  • Lock up ladders and tools daily.
  • Read blueprints, including the specs, layout hangers, and hole penetrations.
  • Know the different types of dampers we use and why.
  • Comply with federal and state law, regulations, and all Company rules.
  • Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Any other job-related activities requested by immediate supervisor.
