About The Position
Jennings Air and Mechanical has immediate openings for a Sheet Metal Mechanic in Charleston, SC. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will work as part of the Jennings Air & Mechanical construction team, installing sheet metal ductwork on various heating and cooling systems.
Requirements
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications
- Skilled in the removal and installation of HVAC duct systems.
- Follow directions accurately.
- Must have a clean background check.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably OSHA 10
- Preferred experience of (3) years, although we can train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints to determine the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal goods.
- Install various types of ductwork, such as TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock.
- Perform field modifications, cuts, miters, transitions, plenums, and repairs as needed.
- Optimize HVAC system installation for maximum efficiency.
- Be punctual and dependable.
