About The Position

Porter Corp is seeking a Sheet Metal Manufacturing Associate responsible for ensuring the quality of products before final shipment. This role involves continuous improvement, team building, and maintaining a positive work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures. The associate will work safely and efficiently, staying customer-focused, and will operate various machines and equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic sheet metal working methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Computer skills
Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Blueprint reading
Very good interpersonal skills
Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts
Possesses very good problem-solving skills
Must be self-motivated and results oriented

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Press Breaks, Shears and assorted hand tools

Responsibilities

Responsible for quality of product before final shipment

Operating a break press, Shears, Punch, and various other machines/equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Safe and efficient packaging of finished goods to minimize damage
Accuracy and completeness of packaged goods shipped to customer
