About The Position
Horizon is seeking experienced sheet metal professionals for a Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Installer position. This role involves fabricating, installing, and repairing architectural and commercial roofing sheet metal systems. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, solving challenges, and contributing to visible construction projects. Requirements
- Experience in commercial roofing sheet metal installation preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and work safely at heights.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Willingness to learn — we will train the right person
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and safety guidelines (or willingness to learn)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites and/or shop
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 50+ lbs
- Comfort working at heights
- Reliability and the ability to work outdoors in various climates
- No fear of heights
Nice To Haves
- Experience in commercial roofing sheet metal installation
Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing sheet metal, including coping, fascia, edge metal, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and custom-fabricated components.
- Read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, bend, and install sheet metal with precision.
- Work closely with your Superintendent and crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
