About The Position

Crete United is seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial sheet metal installation experience and be comfortable working on commercial HVAC and mechanical systems in a variety of jobsite environments.

Requirements

3+ years of commercial sheet metal installation experience required.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork installation and sheet metal practices.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and install sheet metal.
Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
Commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship.
Must have a valid Drivers license that does not necessitate a SR-22
Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Install commercial sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems according to plans, specifications, and project requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and ductwork layouts.
Measure, cut, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components.
Install rectangular and spiral ductwork, fittings, dampers, grilles, registers, and related HVAC components.
Ensure ductwork is properly supported, sealed, insulated, and installed according to applicable codes and standards.
Work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and productivity.
Coordinate with other trades and project team members on active commercial construction sites.
Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment required for sheet metal installation.
Identify and communicate potential installation issues or field changes to the appropriate supervisor.
