About The Position

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in the commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects spanning coast to coast, including North Carolina. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market. We are looking to hire a Sheet Metal Foreman to join our self-perform team for ongoing work in Hurlburt, FL and the surrounding areas. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the AFB Hurlburt military base. Our Sheet Metal Foreman will be responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned Sheet Metal crews. This includes ensuring the Sheet Metal Crew has completed quality work, according to the project requirements and deadlines. The crew is responsible for the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two or more years in a Sheet Metal Foreman capacity.
  • Three or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
  • Computer literacy
  • CPR/First Aid & OSHA-30 Certifications
  • EM-385 & STS Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Courses in HVAC Technologies, construction management, engineering tech, etc.
  • Government, military, or large commercial construction experience.
  • Training can be provided for EM-385 & STS.

Responsibilities
